1st Grade Cezanne Apples

1st grade looked at the artist Cezanne and his many, many paintings of apples.  We talked about how the apples are more than just one color, and how the background had texture (how something feels) in it.  Students drew their apples, plate, and background design using a black crayon before painting it all in with watercolors.  This is one of my favorite lessons and they loved it!  Enjoy!
