Art Tissue Underwater Scenes

1st graders have been learning about ocean habitats so I collaborated with their classroom teachers to produce these beautiful artworks!  The students learned about art tissue, a special tissue paper that, when you put it on top of paper and get it wet, the color transfers (or "bleeds") onto the paper. Students first made colorful collages using art tissue before taking what they had learned about ocean habitats and looking at reference pictures to produce a beautiful drawing!
