Kindergarten Self-Portraits

Kindergarten learned what a self-portrait is and created their own self-portraits!  First we made a collage background by recycling art tissue paper we had used in a previous project (we used mod podge to paint/glue it down).  Then we stood up and did simple exercises to become more familiar with body proportions, or the relationship of their individual parts to their bodies. After students drew their self-portraits on a separate piece of paper, they cut it out and glued it down on top of their colorful collages.
