Joan Miro's Shapes and Lines

Joan Miro was a Spanish painter who painted lines and shapes that he imagined. His paintings were inspired by the sky as well as his dreams at night.

1st and 2nd grades learned about Miro, and learned the difference between organic (flowy - looks like the shape of spilled milk) and geometric shapes (shapes with points).   Students created their own Joan Miro inspired people using lines as well as organic and geometric shapes. We did this with crayon first before painting over it.
