Indian Corn in Warm Colors

1st graders learned about Indian corn this week.  They learned that this type of corn is what the Native American Indians grew and brought to the first thanksgiving.  Students also learned about warm colors - red, yellow and orange.  These are colors that are used to color things that are warm, like the sun and fire.  They look great and mix well together.  1st graders cut out corn and husks, glued them together, then used a q-tip to paint the texture of corn using warm colors.
