Penguins in Cool Colors

Kindergarten and 1st grade created a winter collage in December!  They first painted using color colors  only (green, blue, purple) and learned how to create purple by mixing red and blue.  Once their paintings were dry students painted white snow over it to create a landscape (a picture of land).  Students then built their penguins by cutting and gluing construction paper (oval for body, smaller oval for stomach, triangles for wings/beak/feet).  They turned out so wonderful!
