Shape Collage

1st graders learned that shapes are everywhere!  Students thought of as many shapes as they could, before thinking about how to put shapes together to build things we see everyday.  We watched this fun video and looked for shapes all around the art room.  Students were then tasked with building their own landscape by cutting out shapes and gluing the together without using a pencil!  This is great lesson for encouraging imagination and creativity while working on fine motor skills.  They did such a great job!
