4 Seasons Tree

2nd graders made large oil pastel resist trees and painted them in with each of the 4 seasons.  Students first learned how to draw a tree (with lots of letters "y" and "v"!) using brown oil pastels.  They then painted a wash of blue paint over the tree. The next class students folded their paper into 4's and were tasked with painting the 4 seasons of leaves, one in each tree panel.
