Warm and Cool Mittens

Kindergarten and 1st graders learned what warm and cool colors are, then learned how to mix orange (yellow + red) and purple (red + blue).  We painted one paper using only cool colors and one paper with only warm colors.  Students then learned about symmetry and traced/cut symmetrical mittens before gluing them down and adding a string to connect the two mittens.
